"Landmines In The Path Of The Believer" by Charles Stanley focuses on the idea that the devil is out to destroy followers of Jesus Christ. Since the devil cannot rob us of our salvation once we receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, he tries to make our lives as unfruitful as possible.
Dr. Stanley suggests that the devil tries to neutralize us through the following ways:
1. Pride - caused the devil to fall from grace and he tries to get us to do the same.
2. Jealousy and Envy - comparing ourselves to others can be dangerous. Focus on who God made you to be instead!
3. Insecurity - focusing on our shortcomings and weaknesses will make us afraid of trying new things for God's glory.
4. Compromise - resist the pressure of being like everyone else so we will be accepted by them. What God thinks of you is most important!
5. Unforgiveness - holding a grudge against those who have hurt us instead of praying for them.
6. Disappointment - letting life situations (losing a job or health, etc.) bring us down to the point where we cannot get out of our depression.
7. Fear - being afraid that God will lead us to do something we do not want to do and end up disobeying Him (lack of trust).
8. Immorality - falling into sexual sin can render us unfruitful for God's glory and hurts others.
9. Slothfulness - being lazy and not letting God stretch our faith. Selfishness is the underlying reason.
A great book for the follower of Jesus Christ to read and heed, lest we fall into sin.

I heard all Charles Stanley's sermons on the Landmines and I immediately wanted
the book. I bought books for my three children and my three grandchildren and extras for my friends. MY friends said "this is the best book I have ever read".
They ordered books for their children and we're telling others about it and placing it in Libraries in Memory of our loved ones. You'll want to refer to it
when you hit another landmine in your life, or remind your children to read chapter etc, and etc. when something happens in their lives. It is so full of the
Bible, but you can find your answer from the table of contents for any problem
you are facing. I highly recommend this book for anyone. If you haven't faced

| This is an excellent book for believers to read. Charles Stanley is truly an anointing man of God. He help me to better understand the many hidden danger we face and gave a clearer understanding to what insecurities and compromising the word of God. This is a comprehensive study of the problems that beset all of us on a daily basis and how we should handle them as children of the living God. Dr. Stanley is a superb writer, and a truly inspired Pastor. I have many of his books; this one is worth giving to everyone on your Christmas and Birthday list. I can't think of anyone who doesn't need it.
